Air purifier has increased significantly in recent years due to the growing concerns about the quality of drinking water, and with the development of technology, water purifiers are designed with different functions. According to the data released by AVC, the retail sales of water purifiers will reach 19 billion RMB, with an growth of 2.6%, and the retail volume is predicted to reach 7.62 million units, with an 3.1% year-on-year growth in 2023. However, opportunity comes together with challenge, the appearance of counterfeit filters has affected the interests of manufacturers and consumers.
For manufacturers, due to counterfeit filters, they may not provide after-sale services for customers, for example, the real-time conditions of water purifiers, when the filters need to be maintained or changed. For customers, since they know little of water purifiers, so they may keep the filters unchanged for years, which can’t reach the aim of disinfection.
Therefore, Joinet specially designs a NFC filter anti-counterfeiting solution to deal with the problem. Through the add of NFC read and write module(multiple channels are available ) and NFC tag, the smart water purifiers read the information of NFC tag through the communication interface led by the MCU on the main control card, so that the users can identify whether the filter they change is the genuine one or not.
